please read could happen to you.
Found out some very helpful info. There seems to be an issue on some trucks that they won't start all of a sudden. The dealer say's it a failed starter relay. Well my freind has had this happen 3rd time sunday. Also couple other people I know have had same issue. Well as you see by the pictures shown.
1st picture here is the wire that go's to your starter yellow with grey stripe the 2nd pic look at wire by starter ( looking through driver side wheel well)notice how it's resting against that bracket. 3rd is a closer pic. This wire is rubbing and will eventually short out causing truck not to start. I check my truck to night and as you see same issue. The wire has a slight groove already.Dealers are awhere of this a bulliten has just been released. So take a look and make sure this isn't going to happen to you. I just pushed the wire to the lower side of loom.

Thanks, just checked mine, I'm good. That is a pretty heavy wire, some rubbing would tear it up. It took me a few minutes to figure out where to look ...duh. I did not get my coffee yet..... For others like me look over the drivers front tire and look in.

My next door neibor had this happen as well ruined his trip. He was hooked up to his trailer and getting ready to pull out and nothing. His was showing copper. Found yesterday pulled it away and she stars just fine now.
You can also see it from the drivers side well right above starter. It loops out of the large loom of wire, Why I'm not quite sure. They could of just run it strait and no issue

Great tip I'll check mine this weekend.
A little off topic, but could I unhook that connector as a theft deterant? I had it unhooked last weekend when installing new shocks and didn't know what it was... It was in my way.

I love threads like this!!! Thanks for the tip!
I checked mine and the wire wasn't really near the bracket. Either they figured out the problem or I just got lucky with mine. FWIW my truck was manufactured in 06/2006.
