Situational awarness.
Think the Dodges are bad? Try driving an uparmored HMMWV through tight village "roads". You'll be wishing for the blind spot in the Dodges.

Its really not that bad, its a pillar, like any other vehicle. In any other car/truck you have to look around it too. Its just part of driving and being a responsible driver.
I really dont think you guys would like a 1/2" wide/thick pillar there instead, if you ever get in an accident

I almost hit a person that was walking in a parking lot, I didn't even see him as he came out between parked cars into the blind spot. It woke me up that's for sure and I have to be alot more careful in parking areas. I don't have pillar gauges either.
