A Pillar blind spot
Just wondering if I am the only one that fears the size of the A pillar blind spot. More than once I have not seen a car or person on the left due to the size of it. If they are moving to the right as you move forward it can get nasty. No accident yet but have had close calls. Anyone else?

My girlfriend found out last week the whole truck is a blind spot when she took a right hand turn and rear ended a buick in front of heard. Never knew it was there until she heard a crunch.
1100 in damage to the car, and 200 in paintwork to my truck.

Not just a problem with the Dodge either. When I still had my 97 F350 the view out of that truck was outstanding, I had borrowed an 05 F350 from a friend at work for a week when I was looking to buy a new truck, same blind spot in the Ford as in the Dodge, Ford might be a little worse. Always catch myself rocking in the seat a little to look around that thing.

I had a friend in highschool that had the 3 guage combo on his A pillar. He was turning around in a parking lot and did not see a light pole that was in the middle of the parking lot. He took the pole all the way down but the fron end of his truck really paid the price.

My old 98 Dakota had a much bigger blind spot then my Ram. The Rams pillar is very skinny compared to the Dakota, I would say that my three gauge pod on the A-pillar is about the same as my Dakota.
