Pics of where the 315's rub.

Here's a couple pics of where the 315's rub. It only happens in very tight spots like a slow-speed sharp turn into a parking space. They've never rubbed under any other conditions.

It looks like you have the same problem as I, that the BFG bulge in the middle. I noticed that only middle of your tire was wearing and not the edges.

Middle? It looks like the very edge of the tire is rubbing the suspension arm, notice the black smear behind the tire.

Here is a picture of where mine rub the paint came off in a day. I wonder why some of our truck rub and others don't? Could it be the front end on some trucks is not truly centered???

That's not what I'm referring to. My BFG did the exact same thing, on rubbing the control arms. What I'm referring to is the tire tread.

Take a look at the second picture. Notice how most of the tire is covered in whitish dust. Now look to the lower right corner of the picture, and you can see that the edige of the tire is a darker black. The middle of the tire is contacting pavement/road (hence the white dust covering) while the edges of the tire are not (hence the darker color). This is because the BFG 315/70/17 are TOO BIG for the stock rim. The MINIMUM wheel that BFG recommend for these tires is 8.5", with the recommended wheel size being 9". Because the stock wheel is 1" smaller than the recommended size, it is pulling in the side walls of the tire, which is causing the tire to round out, rather than ride flat.

Mine do the same the wear is all on the center. This will cause the tires to wear faster but then rims aren't cheap either its pay now or pay later...

I don't believe this. I would dare say that 80% of the people who put the BFG on don't even take them off road. If you hit ANY little bump with the wheel at full lock, the tire will rub. On my truck I didn't even have to hit a bump. If I turned wheel at a full lock in a parking lot, and tried to turn, it would rub. I had a stock 04.5 4x4. Most of the people I've read on these forum report that the BFG's rub. It's a light rub, but they do rub.

Gotcha...I thought you were saying the rub was in the middle of the tire.

I can see how it could pull the outer edge inward and upward towards the narrow to compensate from the drastic narrowing.

I'm crazy...I am, really.
