Pics of my truck
Well I finally got pics of my truck small enough to post on here. Just thought I'd see what everybody thought. The dates are wrong on these pictures. I didn't realize my camera had reset itself until it was too late.

I had a hard time finding yellow. I bought it on autotrader last Sept. from Woody's Chrysler in Chillicothe Missouri 1000 miles away. To my understanding Dodge only made yellow in the 2500 and 3500 series for a few months in early 05 and these trucks were shipped to dealers in the western part of the country. Anybody else have any info on this?

I see a yellow 3500 srw running around here quite often. The guy has an emergency light bar across the cab & the rest of the truck is decked out in chrome. Looks really cool. He maybe a volunteer firefighter or something.

Lithia in Billings, MT has 10 yellow CTD's on their lot. I whipped the truck in there to see what the heck was going on. I couldn't believe it. The wife and I were there for some shopping. You see, Billings is town for us even though it is about 130 miles away. Cool looking trucks though. From a distance it looked as though the dealership was on fire.

They had a few here in the East too. In fact I almost bought an 05 but it had an auto and I wanted the G56. It had everything else I wanted except the 6-speed. They even had a SB that was lifted w/ big rims/tires, flares, etc... I didn't like that one too much. I contacted Tomeygun and he searched the nation for me but nobody had any 6-speeds left. Thus I am still driving my blue truck......
I really like the yellow color....

Dodgezilla,
I had the same problem myself. The closest straight drive was in missouri. I got the truck for 33,500 which was a lot cheaper than anybody else was selling them for around here. There was a straight drive a few months earlier in Wilkesboro, NC but I waited a day too late and it was gone. The only other one I found around here was in Atlanta that was lifted but it was an auto. I have seen an MBRP ad with a Quad Cab Dually but that's the only one I've ever seen. Now somebody here in Asheville has a 2500 Quad Cab auto in yellow. It was for sale on a used lot. Came from Alabama. He was asking 35,900 for it. I couldn't help but laugh at him. Now the guy that bought it has ruined it. 5 inches of lift on 35s, hard tonneau with a big spoiler on the back of it. Chrome all over it. I don't understand why people buy a sport with no chrome and then put it all over it. Why not buy a chrome package truck. Oh well, to each his own.

Dodgezilla,
I was messing around on Autotrader last night and came across Bonham Chrysler Dodge in Texas. They have eight yellow six speeds, five G56 and three NV5600. I e-mailed them on one that stickered at $40,645 and they came back with $30,970. That was a yellow sport, swb, qc, 4x4. Not too shabby if you want yellow! Go to Dodge.com and type in zip 75418. Just thought I'd throw that out here.

Solar, that yellow is VERY cool! Did they ever make any DRW 3500s in that color? Is/was that color limited to '05? Nick, after several attempts, I finally got the autotrader search to come up as you described, but I find it strange that the same dealer didn't show any yellows on the Dodge site - same for the MT dealer. Any ideas? Not to hijack this thread, but I'm looking to replace my '98, and finding a big yellow replacement might be just enough to help me pull the trigger!

Pride & Joy,
On the dodge site they were under the 2500s. There were nine trucks, and eight were Yellow. They show "N/A" on "exterior". When you click the "Window Sticker" it shows you what the truck is equipped with. The three that are $40,270 are the NV5600s, and the five that are $40,645 are the G56s.
