Picked it up on Saturday.....
WOW!!! Picked the truck up on Saturday. Everything was perfect. Drove 150 miles that day, around town, hilly, and NJ highway driving (some stop and go). By the end of the day was registering 19.8 on the computer. I know the computers are nomally high, but I was figuring on much lower MPG than this at first.

This being my first diesel (well diesel in the boat does not count) I really can't comment on performance much, but it has tons of power, 70 mph at 1800 rpms. Can't wait to give it a little after I have logged the 500.

Now just have to get some nerf bars so my lady can get in and out easier.

d

Re:Picked it up on Saturday.....
Congrats, Dan. I just got mine last Thursday, and spent some time this weekend driving it around the backraods out here in the "country". The power really is great on these trucks. Got about 300 miles left on the break-in for the transmission, then start doing some towing for that. Haven't run a full tank through yet, but the computer has gone from 12 MPG when I picked it up to 15.8 MPG so far. I still have 7/8 of a tank left, and will comparer the compute readings with manual calculations for the first few tanks, but seems to be better than my old '99. Enjoy!!
