Picked up New Truck Today
After 11 weeks of waiting actually picking up the new truck was almost anti-climactic but the 45 mile drive home wasn't. Couldn't help feeling like a king sitting in the driver's seat but didn't look like one 'cause I couldn't get the silly grin off my face ![Big Grin](https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

. Had to go the garage a few minutes ago just to make sure it was really there. I liked my '95 2500 V-10 auto and it was a solid and reliable truck for the 9 years we had it but this truck just feels different; Cummins, heavy duty 6-speed; and duallies just make the difference between a light truck and a real business machine. Looking forward to hooking on our 11,000 lb 5'er and finding a hill to climb.
I was surprised that it's a little lighter than I expected according to a highway scale - 7,275 lbs. full of fuel but otherwise empty. I also hope to find that the overhead is accurate 'cause it was reading 18.5 mpg @ 56 mph on the brand new engine.

Congrats on the new truck! I have had mine since last summer and I still have the new truck fever grin.
I would have thought yours being a dually would have been a little bit heavier too. Mine is a SRW and weighs in at 7760 with a fiver hitch, full tank of fuel and me. Probably a little more now with some other options added since. Maybe the 4x4 is part of the weight difference?
