piaa mass markets ther product, and dumps tons of $$ into marketing so that people think its good stuff.... same marketing that banks uses.
yes, the hot spot from a piaa bulb is slightly brighter, they achive that by changing the filiment size and location. the down side is the rest of the beam is considerably dimmer.
tintid bulbs may apear " brighter and whiter" but there not.
try a quality bulb like a narva and you will understand.
yha, hid is superior, but id hate to be on the reciving end of an hid conversion in one of the factory housings, theres enough glare with a stock bulb

Factory is a 9006 but you can run a 9005 which is alot better and designed for headlights. All you have to do is cut the plastic tab off and enjoy twice the light output.
