Parking lights on when braking????
Every time I apply my brakes the front parking lights glow! This is not right is it? Anyone had this happen or know how to fix it? Thanks

I'd check the trailer plug in the back. I always start there when having light problems. It is so suseptible to damage. Is it ONLY the front park lights? Seems hard to only make the front ones glow without the rear ones doing it too. The voltage must drop off before it gets to the rear ones. Have any more info?
If you haven't seen this, check it out for your truck. You can download all the wiring diagrams to help you fix your problem, granted you can use a DMM or volt meter.

Good luck.

sounds like you been monkeying with your trailer brake harness - it has park lite & brake lite circuits in it.
there is the 7 pin brake connector by the license plate, and a flat 4 pin to the left of the plate, up behind the bumper. make sure it isn't full of water.
and the electric brake controller plug is by the e-brake foot pedal...it's blue, make sure nothing goofy in there.
hth?

Thanks a mil guys, never thought Minnesota road salt and road slop could eat up the rubber from the 4 prong plug under the truck in 1 year. Probably won't warrenty it either but I'm gonna try.

I've also seen in the past, where a bulb will burn out and cross over and touch the other element, causing the parking lights to all come on when the brakes were applied.
