paint question - clay bar?
I debadged my truck several months ago and started noticing when the sunlight is just right you can see a hazyiness in the paint that sort of outlines where the badges were. Washing and waxing didn't make it go away. I've heard about people using claybar before but never tried it myself. Will clay bar clean that off there?

Junky...
Most likely the clay bar will not assist you in clearing the haze up. It does not remove scratches but just cleans the surface of minute particles that attach themselves to the top of the finish. Get a mag glass and look closely at the haze.... If it is a cloud, and you used heat to de-badge you may have burned your paint by overheating.... If you can see fine scratches then it is just a matter of polishing them out. I start with 3000 grit wet and dry. Light pressure and keep wet. Once I have worked the area, i polish it through 4 grits, the last being a glaze. This process works wonders. I use a random orbital sander on low speed with 3000 grit. Pretty safe to not go through the clear coat unless you approach it lik a gorilla.
Good Luck
