OK, so mid-January I order the truck. 4 weeks ago got an estimated ship date of 2/28. Now a VIN has been assigned and 2/28 still show in the computer.

Question: How long does it take to ship the vehicle by rail to AZ? And no, I do not know where it is being manufactured (probably Mexico).

JUst looking to understand the shipping times....My estimate is 7-10 days.

Don't feel bad Tony i order one in nov 2005 and i just got a vin number last week i was told by my dealer it should be here the first week of april
i order a full load 3500 dually black i know the paint held it back but it took a long time to get that number

That's one incredible lead time!!!! Were there parts shortage/availability issues, or was it the paint? Even if it was the paint, there still seems to be something not quite right!

I was only harping on my dealer, until I got a ship date. Of course, I'll be harping for tracking info on March 1! I'm not too ****....Just want to know what to expect & when to expect it!

Well Tony i always order my tucks since 1994 and that is every 2 or 3 years
i get price from dealers all over the province of bc that where i live and the best price that where i go
The paint black was held up till the end of november then who knows it is a full load anything could have benn holding it up if one part is not there then it stays on the side line it is always been 3 month
It is built in stalo mexico then goes to st louis then get re loaded on the train to edmunton alberta then by truck to bc dealers so you see it take a while it all has to clear custom in ontario anyway it will get here sooner or later
Im going on a 5 month vacation at the end of may so i will break it in towing my 34 ft alpenlite

I wish I had something that heavy to help break-in!

I'll have to drag my 4k boat around a LOT more! OR, I'll load up my Brother's Dakota onto my flatbed & head for Flagstaff & back! That should be about 6kip.
