Amsoil makes a NANO FIBER that I have been running with great success and it fits right into the stock housing. I believe it is EA1089.

Ya, I am using a AMSOIL nano fiber air filter. Seems to work real well. To clean it you blow it out with 15 pst air from the clean side. Amsoil makes quality products. I believe this is a 100,000 mile filter. The only thing I ever got from AMSOIL that I didnt like was their oil wetted air filter. Really hated that thing.

When times get hard, I just use an old red ladies fishnet stocking I found out in back of The Red Dog Salon here in OKC .

You wont believe this but I did that on a friends car in 1968, one of those old Roadster MG's with a long hood that raised from the side. We were down in the Canadian south of Norman OK. shooting and LOL when we started to leave it threw the belt, the generator wet rinnnnnnng thuk as it threw the windings off of the aramature.

He was gonna just drive about 5 miles back to town. I found a ladies (that may be a miss statment because of what else I found while looking) nylon hose tied it around the crankshaft water pump pulleys. We limped back to town with out it getting hot.

The End

Yup, I use the Amsoil EAA189 myself, and love it. I've got a PM on the way to you.

Amsoil, Trueflow, and AFE are possible choices for drop in replacements. AFE has three differnt cone shaped filter that will drop into the stock airbox. They are proud of them however. http://www.afefilters.com/IntakeSytemstest.php

If you take pantyhose with you every time you go into the woods I suggest you keep your ears open, and if you hear banjo music run like hell!!!!!!!!

Take a look at http://www.filter1.com. They are owned by and sell Wix filters at excellent prices. $50 and up orders are shipped free. They have the air filter.

FWIW, Wix makes virtually all the Napa filters.

I use Wix on everything I own, except for a hydraulic filter on one of my tractors, for which Wix doesn't make an exact replacement.

Wix paper air filters are the best I've found. My filter minder doesn't suck down at all with it, brand new Baldwin filter will pull it down halfway. I'm sticking with a easy to replace paper.
