On my 04, the rear driver side door has no power to the locks, window, speaker, and when I open the door, the interior lights dont come on. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else, or if there is any certain conection that is more prone to getting buggered up? thanks

 

The door harness The wires break at the plug between the door and the cab. I removed the harness and replaced wire as needed. the wiring from the dealer is about $300. dollars

 

Sounds like it could just be unplugged with everything quitting at the same time. There is a connection right past the rubber boot in the door opening towards the cab side.

 

Found it, there was about 6 wires ripped in half in between the cab and the door, no idea why.

 

Poor wire quality, it has been a problem dating back 10+ years with chrysler vehicles. It stems from the amount of small copper strands in each wire. There is fine strand copper wire and thick strand wire. They use the latter. At least with the newer vehicles they use a replace able harness. Big bucks though. I remember when that section was part of the complete harness.

Don't ever remember a toyota with this problem. :] Lots of the big 3.
