Just purchased some Nitto Terra's off Discount Tires ebay site. They are 265 70r17 and "E" rated. Hope they are good. Only paid 684 for 4 of them with free shipping.

I don't suppose they have white letters on the other side do they? Just ordered mine today! NOT CHEAP! 900 bucks mounted and balanced and all the hooplaa. Gonna take 3-5 days to get here from California.

Nope no white letters, but I think they do come in two different side wall patterns, white and non white. I could be wrong.

That must be a new tire from Nitto:

I've got the Terra Grapplers like a lot of folks, but after 13k, they are just starting to get a bit noisier than when new...
These Duras dont look much less agressive than the Terras and they look like they'd wear better with the "E" rating...dont ya think?

Do the Duras come in a 295/70/17?

When new:

'Mo sizes,please.

A "295" or "315" would sure be welcomed. "E" rated.

Yeah, I couldn't find any listing for white letter on the website, but it never hurts to ask! Here's a link to all the sizes available.

I've had Nitto mud and terra grapplers and had great ride quality and mileage out of them. I was impressed on how little weight they took to balance and how round they looked on the machine. My last set of BFG took >6 oz and still shook, but all my Nittos have <3 oz.

This is the closest thing to a Michelin LTX M/S I've seen in this size and load rating.

Hope it wears well for you all, gives good winter traction, etc. I'll be periodically checking in for reports. These are on the short list when my Cooper STTs are done for (or I finally get that TT we've been eyeing).

Well got them mounted today so I'll post up some more pics. and couple of extras too since I debadged it today also. For all the 20 miles I put on them to day I like them thus far. They have two side wall designs on them I went with the lest flashy of the two for easier cleaning.

Hey Seelow......still liking them? I just got mine on today. Not real impressed with handling yet! Ride is nice, but sways badly on the turns - feels like a lot of sidewall flex. I was also a little dissapointed in Discount tire. I was quoted one price over the phone ( I knew I should have gotten it in writing!) and about 200 more with all the warranty and such. May have been some confusion on my part ( I'll take some of the blame) ! I figured for less than the price of one tire, I'd better have the lifetime everything! I do all of my own work, and could have mounted them and balanced them myself and saved a bunch of money, but they have the latest "road force" balancer that does a sweet job of balancing. Took very little weight to balance too. Largest weight I saw was 1.75 oz. Not bad at all! Will update as I get more miles on the truck. I didn't ask what pressure they put in them either. I usually run 80 in the rear and 70 in the front. Will definately check that tomorrow too! Really like the looks of the tire. If it performs in the snow as well as they claim I'll be really impressed. That and the squishyness has to go!

the discount tire around here used to be a stand up place but now they seem to do the quote you one price then try to charge you another thing. they said they could order a set of toyo mt's for a great price but they never actually came in and kept trying to sell me other tires that they had laying around for more than other places were charging for them. then they called me to say my toyo mt's were in only to find out they were the at's which they claimed were the same as the mt's and the only tires made in the size i ordered (35x12.50x17 or 315/70/17). i left w/o any tires and probably won't go back again.
