New Mileage figures on my "600"
I know this subject has been beat to death...however I have good news. When I first purchased my truck (01/04 build date) I did a 100 mile test run (all highway) and got 15.1 mpg. @60 (I know that 60 mph is slow, but it was new and I was no hurry to get home) I recently did the same test run @60 again and got 18.9 mpg (hand calculated). The truck has 10k and a new fuel filter. I also have a cap. The difference's between the two test runs are.
1. Winter blend fuel
2. slightly warmer temp
3. 10,000 miles
The same test run at 70 mph nets 17.5 mpg
My buddy has the same truck as mine, however, he purchased the "Hemi". He get's 11-12 mpg "empty" on the same roads. My greatest joy in the world, is driving bye the gas station when he's filling up. I toot the horn and wave with a big grin on my face!

See, I knew some of those pathetic numbers would come up after some miles... great news! 17-19 MPG isn't bad. That's pretty much what my '99 got, unless I was drafting big rigs and driving 55-60 in which case I got 24... all I'm hoping for is about the same with the '05.
