I have a question that is a little off topic here but your seats made me think of it. I put a set of those seats in my truck, the 40 20 40 ones, that I was told came out of a 08 truck, but they don't say sport on them and have the plastic side pieces like the half tons do. Does anyone know what they would have come out of? I have never seen another set that didn't say sport.

Update on my problem. It happened once more to me on Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon I changed the fuel filter and went over all of the electrical connections under the hood to make sure they were tight, if there was a loose one I couldn't tell but my problem seems to be fixed. The fuel filter was in definite need of changing though. I do have the in-tank pump and it is working fine. I do plan on gauges here in the near future, I like to keep an eye on things no matter what kind of vehicle it is, I'm kind of odd like that Other than that one little issue, no problems and running great. I think I'll be keeping this rig for quite a long time Thanks for the help and kind words about my new ride guys!

The Fuel Filter needing to be changed would cause a loss of power over the entire power band. The sudden loss of power and 2000 RPM Max is a little bit deeper than a Fuel Filter I would think. I can remember a couple people having the same issue on here so do a search and see if anything comes up. Good Luck and I had a 2006 with the G56 and I loved that truck. MONSTER / BEAST was her name

Dead pedal, intermittently...$20 says its the APPS. Should get gradually worse. There'sa reset procedure, search APPS on here in engine and drivetrain section. Easy fix, cheapest from a Cummins shop if there's one nearby.

^ I completely forgot to mention that I had done the APPS reset procedure Maybe that is why my problem went away, if it does it again that is the first thing I will check though. I had problems with the APPS on my 01, but they were quite different symptoms than this one is showing, surely doesn't mean it can't be the problem though. Thanks!
