new here

hey all i posted a thread a few months back about purchasing a ram in the future. i got her last week.

2006 ram 2500 CTD quad cab short bed 4x4 SLT. it has the wood grain, electric 4x4 (which i didnt want) bed liner, steps, power seats, aluminum wheels i believe 4.10 rear, i dont know how to tell. its pretty nice, silver is the color. now im looking for a nice set of gauges and stacks and a lift and tires

72mph @ 2000rpm = 3:73 on an auto

Or open your glove box and look at the tag in there that also tells ya what rear end you have.

At about 72mph, I am seeing closer to 2300RPMs...so that should be about right...given you are running 265s that is...

Really? Even my 96 Had the sticker in the glovebox. I just assumed they all did. So then is it anywhere on the 06's??

My 06 had no information anywhere about what the gear ratio is. After a quick search here I learned they are 3.73's.

Don't know why they wouldn't put it some place. Even the axles have no tags on them

Congratulations on the new purchase...The overwhelming majority of these trucks do come with the 3.73 right? Just curious how many out there have the 4.10s?

On 2006...6-speed only has 3.73s and auto either 3.73 or 4.10. No sticker in glove box. I tow at 68mph which is 2100rpm with 6-speed
