New Exhaust Time

The pipe has broken off right at the front of the muffler.
When something like that happens, it is generally a good time to go new and spend money once, rather than twice - the repair and then the new system...

After my research, the two things that stick out for me for 2003 Quad Cab Short Box 4x4 are:

51" Donaldson muffler - $97.65
FTE Resonator - $109.75

Now for the rest of the piping. I have looked a see that there are full kits but is that what I need and then just cut them up? Can/should I buy the individual pieces? If so, where?

What would you do? Links etc would be appreciated. (Referrals, less expensive etc etc) lol

I have the Fte resonator up front 4inch, Magnaflow 4x30 straight thru, happy with it, no drone at all as i pull a 36 ft fiver. Had a flo pro twister , threw it away, way too restrictive towing with a tuner, high EGTS.I like what your thinking, youll be happy with it,The fte res does a great job.

Flo Pro Twister...

alboy....Why do you say the Flo Pro Twister race muffler is too restrictive? It's the same design as the FTE resonator. Both mufflers have a small center straight through design surrounded by an outer corkscrew. Just curious as to why you say it's more restrictive?

hump ,The flo pro i had installed looks like a regular muffler with an offset inlet outlet with a curved inside with tabs sticking into the exhaust flow.I tow a 15000 lb fiver and could not keep egts acceptable pulling a 6% grade, made the change, no more problem.

Now I got it....I'm running the Flo Pro Twister race muffler which is identical to FTE's "resonator" muffler. I actually thought the FTE's muffler was a little more quiet than the Flo Pro Twister.....
