new 06, couple pics

picked this thing up last week, only has 70K on it, never turned up, owned by a famer, though obviously not a farm truck because there isn't a scratch on it. came freshly detailed, paint is immaculate. and it has 6 new tires. overhead read 19mpg on the trip home. think I done good this time, $27,400, they asked $29,995. trucks similar to this one were way overpriced within a 300 mile radius, not one was under $30,000 even with higher miles.

better pics when the weather breaks. got my bumpers swapped over, exhaust was dumped in those pics because my straight pipe had not showed up, got it installed today. probably going to put my Lorenz coils and step bars back on, debage all but the C logos, install EGT gauge in SRT-10 pillar, Line-X the bed and keep it stock for the time being.

I saved $35,000 over the 07 if you account for interest it's still sitting in my yard, hoping to turn it in this week.

hovisimo,

Good looking Truck....

Do you know the manufacturer of the front and rear bumpers? Is the Factory Hitch still on the truck?

Some replacement rear bumpers have to remove the factory hitch, or use a bolt on receiver tube that limits your towing capasity, (A RH rear bolt on reciver tube is only rated for 5K).

Thanks,

Stealth

made by Tough Country out of TX, I bought them new and have had them on all 3 of my trucks. rear bumper allows use of the factory hitch. very heavy duty bumpers, they weigh 440lbs combined. so far the front has claimed a Honda and a Saturn. after installing and removing them 3 times, I figured out you can do the job with an engine hoist and they balance perfectly. wrap a soft strap around the upper tube on the front bumper, hook a strap under the license plate light hole on the rear bumper, roll them into place and install the bolts. first time I installed them was with a forklift. you won't be installing them yourself without either one of these tools

yup it has seen some use. other than needing U-joints its almost in better shape than my '07 with 5K. clearly very well cared for.

Great looking truck! Is it your 1st dually? If so you'll love it. Now all you need is some 35x12.50's on her. Good luck. By the way I have 140,000 on my 06 and LOVE it.

I had oem mudflaps on my 04 (same color) and they rubbed through the paint.

I considered the Edge mileage max or whatever it is but it's not really in the budget, truck runs fine stock for now.

yup, my 04 and 07 were SRWs. planning on keeping the stock 235s because they're new and I don't want to lose my 20mpg.
