need your help/opinions

ok guys, i know there have been many tire threads, but id like some final input on this from yall before i go make my purchase. i am currently decided on either hankook dynapro mt 285-70-17 or the nitto trail grappler 295-70-17. I REALLY like both tires, however the hankooks are D rated and the nittos are E rated. i DO NOT tow regularly, if at all... although i know these trucks are very heavy and i do have a front end replacement. and i have been having DW for awhile now... and i know E rated tires would help a bit after i put my new track bar on..
so the hankooks are 615 out the door. and the nittos are 995 out the door.... so whats the best choice? D thats significantly cheaper and a darn good tire, or the nittos that are E and more expensive and also a darn good tire?

IMHO go with the E rated tire. Why take chances?

Unneeded stress on front tires, possible blowout at the worst time and cost will more than likely be more than the saved $400..........

Not my tuck or money but I try to stay on the safer side when I can.

I run d's on my f150, anything more than 6k# i would much rather run the e rated tire. I try to stick with all e rated 10-12 ply tires just to be safe.

I have put a lot of miles on these trucks with D-Rated 285s and 315s. Lots of towing miles too and NEVER had a problem. If you are hauling heavy or towing a lot then sure get the E-Rated tires. If not then you won't have any problems w/ the D-Rated as long as they have a high weight capacity. I know the BFG ATs are around 3195lb each.....

is there any benefit with E rated in helping to kill DW?... bc of the stiffness of the tire compared to a D?

I must be stoopid. Have E tires on my F150 and D tires on the Mega!
Really, though, the D rated 285s are 3195lbs @65psi. Won't ever have either axle over 6400lbs. 2nd winter on these tires and run them 45-50psi front, 35-40psi rear most of the time unless the roads are clear for a long roadtrip then I'll air them up some.
