Need Key-Switched power for snow plow.
Hello everyone, I have a 2005 quad cab slt. I am trying to find a connection point for switched 12 volt power on / off with key for controls for my new Boss snowplow. This is very low amperage just to trigger plow relays under the hood. What's available and where do I look to connect easiest? Also does anybody know how to stop the horn honk if the door is open and you put the truck in reverse. Real PITA when hooking and unhooking from trailer(Way to go Chrysler). Thank you for your help.

I would get a mini fuse tap and use it to connect to one of the fuses in the fuse box under the hood. The 15a one in there for backup lights is switched if I remember correctly. That way you dont have to run another wire into the cab.
As for the horn honk from what has been posted on here is to either live with it, unhook the horns, or put a disconnect switch in the horn wire so you can flip them off when hooking up to the trailer and then back on when you are done.

Welcome to the site first of all!
I don't have my truck available to go look at right now...
but it's either terminal 39 and/or 40 in the fuse box under the hood...
One is for the cigar lighter, and the other says serpentine drive, or something like that...
As far as the horn goes...I dunno?
