Need help with trailer brake light output

My 7 pin trailer connector on the rear bumper of my 2003 dodge has output for both the right and left signal light but only has output for the left stop lamp with nothing to the right stop lamp. I think the trailer light output is a separate function from the truck rear lights. Is this a function controlled by the truck computer? Has anyone encountered this problem and found a fix? I would appreciate any suggestions.

Isn't the signal circuits also the brake circuits? My '03 has fuses for seperate outputs to the trailer under the hood so I'm thinking it's computer controlled or at least computer monitored.
I'll take a look at the schematic and get back to you later..

That is what puzzles me. If the fuse us adequate for the right signal, then it should work for the right brake light. It seems like whatever controls the system to send current to both positions for stpo lights on the bumper mounter trailer adapter is not doing its job. I have a wiring schematic on a cd but my computer quit and my iPad can't read a cd.

Does the right signal on the trailer work? There are separate fuses for right and left.

Yes, the right signal works. I am going to check the fuses when I get home from work tonight. I figured it can't be a fuse if the signal works but I have been known to have "figured" wrong before.

There is no seperate left and right brake light outputs form an american 7 pin connector, the turn signal lights operate as the brake lights:

That is why it is so puzzling. If the connector has output when the right signal is applied, then when the brakes are applied, why is output only to the left stop lamp and not the right stop lamp as measured at the connector??????????
