Question need help with my trucks trailer wiring.

I wired in a power converter a while back in July because the factory trailer pin wasn't working right now it does the question I have is how do I get my seven pin on the truck to work the way it once did. I have obviously checked fuses and the such and someone on here once told me there is something in the ECU that likes to burn out when wired to a crappy trailer (Uhaul pretty sure did it). Anyway wired in a four pin converter from napa like a modulite and now the 4 pin works, I just want to know if there is a way to wire in a seven pin so it will work with a trailer brake, reverse lights, and the such the standard left right brake work but the rest don't lookin for some help, im a little tired now so this might not make any sense but lookin for someone who might have had the same problems. thanks for ne help, it has the basics for now just want to fix it before I need to use it.

Clint, now that you've had some rest go back and reword that and add some punctuation. With it all jumbled together it's hard to understand exactly what you're asking.

I think you wired a modulite to a 4-way and now want to wire it to a 7-way. If that's what you're needing I'll be glad to help you out.

yeah that's exactly what I want sorry for the jumbled crap. A 4 pin modulite to a 7 pin in the bumper just want to get it working right. It worked right when I bought the truck hooked it up to a trailer from CO to CA pulling a uhaul car hauler which I think had bad wiring, and then after I came back from deployment it didn't work right. I wired in the modulite and have my 4 pin and it works fine with a uhaul I just want the modulite to run my seven pin too, if at all possible.

The 4 pin and 7 pin turn/stop signals are tied together, if one works both should work. Unless where you made the splice disconnected the 7 pin wiring. The brake (blue wire) and power (red wire) come from the front of the truck and are not be affected by the modulite. I have two 7 pin connectors 1 in box for 5th and the factory 7 and the 4 pin, all work. When my left trailer lights stopped working I ended up replacing the relays in the IPM, $20cdn and about 2 hrs of my time.

Following robbynne instructions is what I did.
The oem relay part # is VFM 21F42-S01
The replacement relay part # AZ988-1AT-12DSEC3R
Got them from relaycenter.com. These relays are internal to the PDC. They are soldered to the circuit board and are not a simply remove and replace.
