Smile Navigation Antenna Question Please

I am in the process of switching radios into my new truck and after connecting everything up with the navigation radio the screen says "GPS Antenna is Disconnected"... it's a factory system. I pulled it back out to verify it was plugged in firmly and still the same thing. I am assuming the antenna is now bad or am I missing something somewhere? If the antenna is bad does anyone know where a replacement can be found on a Sunday? Thanks in advance for any responses-

Look under the right front kick panel. That's where the GPS antenna connects to an extension cable.

The SMA connectors are also quite delicate. Check for a bent center pin.

What year truck? I have installed/removed numerous factory NAV systems in 03-08 trucks and never saw any type of "Extension" cable. I also never had the issue you are describing so I'm thinking you have a bad antenna wire. Maybe it's just kinked somewhere. Where did you mount your antenna?

Were you inside at the time? I know on mine, I lose connection when I pull in the garage, or if I'm sitting under an overpass.

I found a spot on the antenna wire that was a little frayed... I hope that's it. I am ordering one when I get back into town. Thanks for the responses-
