I forgot to look for a code. Too busy watchn that temp gauge go up.

A cracked water pump is probably really rare.The heater hoses down low on pass side of engine near firewall is not.Real common leak/seep area.

Most likely if a code was set its still there.

Cycle the key 3 times and leave it on the 3rd time. The codes will be displayed in the odometer display.
