unless i was in a very remote area, i would be taking the "chip" outa the key, and putting where the complete key was, with the way new vehicles are nowadays,it's either a real "pro" or someone with inside info ( a friend of a installer) i would rather have em be breaking things , maybe get caught doing it and if not my vehicle is still there, instead of craking a collum case open and finding a key ready to go right there.

Sorry to hear about the attemptrd theft.
Please everyone visiting Phoenix/Tucson and border towns to include Douglas and Sierra Vista cities. Be very, very careful with your trucks. Many Superduties are being stolen in big box and mall parking lots.
As said before, I park near the store's front doors and try never to leave the truck out of sight for an extended period of time. I also have the sentry key which is supposed to help.
The truck is what's at risk.

About 12 "350 Superduties" per week in Edmonton, apparently because they don't have a chipped key, or shutdown ignition.

Superduty theft here on the border is serious and above normal.
Just passin' along to you a little knowledge from an ol' horseman who doesn't want to walk 100 miles back to the ranch.

Well, $630 later, and that doesn't even cover the glass. The glass will be done tomorrow and insurance will pay for that. New SKIM, new keys, new under column molding, new lock cylinder, new tilt lever (just the plastic extension), and 2 new keys. Happy New Year everyone!

Misery loves company
My truck was broke into this afternoon. They stole a GPS which doesn't bother me as much as the smashed driver side window. I'd love to get my hands on the guy.
