The Dodge has the least amount of power from the factory. So if thats the argument then he is right. However we all know that power and realiability can be changed.....

I've owned both brands, and I will say the Dodge is closer to my perfect truck than the Ford was. And until someone builds a Unimog in a slightly (but only slightly) smaller version, I think I'll drive this Dodge until the wheels fall off.
Or until someone wants to hand me the keys of a 1 ton 4x4 Megacab with all the goodies...

Are we talking a New Unimog? Because I love the 416's from the mid 1970's. Get the highway axles and the 20 spd tranny and you got one heck of a vehicle that'll pull or haul anything and be able to do 65 mph on the highway.
Also have to agree with some of the other posts, the Cummins motor can't be touched by the powerjoke or the duracrap, as for the truck itself, the blue oval is slightly nicer, gm is just too car like

I just have a couple things to say about fords.. I worked for Ford as a heavyline diesel apprentice for a yr and a half.. In that time I saw 7.3s eat high pressure fuel pumps.. but overall a decent motor.. the 6.0s suck.. they eat turbos, injectors, and high pressure oil pumps. I dont wanna even say how many warranty parts I flagged.. There is definatly a reason that ford and navistar are fighting about contracts and refusals to share costs on warranty.. Because there motors suck and the recalls will continue. I like the ford interior but you can have everything else..

Tell your friend to do a search on line for sites to swap a Cummins into Ford & other trucks, then tell him to do the reverse. Then tell him to think about why there are no Power Stroke swap into any thing else sites.

compare the numbers per cylinder
Have your buddy do the math. Have him divide his factory hp and torque by 8 and you divide yours by 6. Also when something comes apart, have him do the math on machine work per cylinder and head for repair. That usually shuts my p-stroke buddies right up.

Add me to the list of idiots
I chose a truck with a stupidly superior interior. I chose a truck that fits ME and what I like. I make the payments on my truck. Your friend makes the payments on his, its what he wanted, so he is an idiot?

It does not show which motor is better, its just fun to send to my ford buddy's. I had a 02 7.3L lariet & wanted a new Harley superduty but not the 6.0 & we all know which motor is better!
