Unhappy On my creeper yesterday

Finally got the truck into the garage yesterday and changed the oil. I immediately started looking for a place to mount remote dual filters!

Headlight replacement is going to be real fun! 80w/100w still in box.

Weak excuse for a transmission cooler, especially for a tow rig known for trans problems!

Paper thin tinker toy front and rear bumpers.

Scratched and dented stock skid plate. , yes I do use it!

Water based axel paint is failing.

All paint on steering box is gone flash rust instead.

All the electronics mounted low on drivers side. I'd hate to have to ford that 24" deep stream.

Stock shocks belong on stock Toyota!

Looks like I've got my list.

Still love my truck!

Yep… headlight replacement sucks!

Tested mine out on my 03. Your right…paper thin!

Don’t know about that. I’ll never take mine there. Pavement Queen.

Yep. Have to replace mine soon as I order the leveling springs for the front.

Headlamp replacement is easy...three screws (from the front) and the assembly pops straight forward.

The "electronics" on the drivers side of the motor is above the bottom of the door...so I don't know how deep you plan on going. A possible solution you are looking for may be to make your truck more like mine. I have no fording issues...

Bumpers are wimpy...get a good pusk bar or replacement from Ranchand or...

The skid plates do deform some...but I have yet to get mine to come in contact with the transfer case.

The steering box was never painted....not sure why Dodge skipped this and a few other items.

Really is a good truck. 48k on mine and not one issue.

Runamuk - contact TDR member CPFF/John Strenkowski or call him at 860-642-7033. He makes an awesome billet filter adapter and billet mount kit for the amsoil dual bypass setup. It's a new design that mounts right to the block, and he offers pre-cut stainless steel braided hoses with fittings. It's simply SICK.

runamuk,

Don't write off those Flat Plate heat exchangers. They are very effective for their size, and well made. I use them in radiant heating and solar applications.

Gotta agree, the stock shox are junk. I'm running Bilsteins in the front and Ranchos in the rear. Excellent.

A rusty steering box is no problem. That's heavy cast iron and is not going to rust through.

The engine electronics mounted down low like that makes me nervous too. What were they thinking? But I haven't heard of any failures. Still, way down there? Hmmm.
