MPG on 2005 with 500 miles??

Well, tried shifting at 1800 rpm yesterday, but my truck just wants to climb the rpms so bad. Can't hear the turbo sing as much either. I must say the fuel economy did creep up, did some highway too, but now I must bow before thee...
