moved from a 2000 5.9 to the 6.7
As the title says, I made the jump last friday. I kinda miss the old girl, but it was killing me with repairs and it needed at least another $3-4500 in repairs. Took the 6.7 camping this weekend and towing the TT we got the same fuel economy as the 5.9. Plus the wife likes how much better it rides, I do have to admit this truck rides very nice. It does not handle the trailer as well in the wind (sway control on the way, load range e tires @ 60 psi) as the 2000, but the 6 speed auto with engine brake is AMAZING. The 6.7 seems to have lots of power all over and it just seems effortless towing, but I could tell the trailer was back there.
I am getting an Edge Insight with pyro so I can see whats going on, but other than that, the 350 hp is pretty well all the power (for now) that I need. Just wanted to say what a difference 7.5 years of model years make. I love that transmission!!! That tranny mated to a 325 hp 5.9 would be incredible.
Anyone else running the Insight? Good, bad, ugly?

So you were roughly stock power!
I asked because of the comment below. Just wanted to know where you were coming from.
I've heard several comments that the 6.7L felt laggy and weak. But these all came from members that were 400+ hp on their porevious ctd's.

Welcome to the club klx650a2!!!!! I hope you like yours as much as I like mine, interior is better, power is good and these things pull like no other!! Plus is whoops my brothers powerjoke (his interior is nicer though). Other than a few emissions related problems my truck has been excellent and at 16k now mileage keeps getting better. Anyway congrats!!
