I wonder if you are going to run into problems mounting behind the axle with the weight on the air bag trying to twist the axle. This can make worse the already problem with these thing wanting to hop in the back end do to axle wrap.
The other option is to mount inside of frame rail but I figured that is going to cause alot more body sway.

Yep that is the way around it, lots O work though. I built 4 links set-up for the back and front of my off-roader. A 4 link that works with a leaf spring even, that is a trick.
That is the problem with link set-ups, they tend to fight the path the the axle wants to move in with leaf springs.
I am guessing now Scotty that you are talking getting rid of the leafs totaly since you are going to a link?

I installed the Ride Rite air bags by Firestone They go on the inside of the frame and on the right side they have a heat shield for the exhaust pipe. the installation instructions can be downloaded at www.riderite.com
When I am not towing I only carry 5psi and I put it up to about 48 psi with the trailer on( I arrived at that by measuring from the dirt skirt to the ground without the trailer and adding air after the trailer was hooked up to give me the same measurement). They claim that 100psi (Maximum) will give you 5000lbs extra capacity. I am not sure that they are the answer yet as I only have about a 1000kilometers of towing and about 3000kms of not towing on them. After the new year we will be towing to Florida for the Daytona 500 in February and to the NASCAR race in Vegas in March so I will know if they are the answer or not.
