Well, you will find that around here most guys can't stand a cap/shell no matter what size it is. I think it would look better on a long bed truck but if it serves a purpose then that's what matters. I'm planning on putting my cap back on here soon.....

Okay, I'm always hearing from people who see and have a review about it. Some good....some say weird. What's your take. Just a FYI.... It works for me and I'm happy with it..but wanted another DODGE FAN'S view. Thanks to all that say something good.... May I see the others stuck in the mud. HA!HA!
But as others have said, if it works for you then that's all that matters.

There's a lot of them in Texas and the Southwest in rodeo or long range hauling trucks. They work great for that in longbeds. They were sleepers in this area, not half shells. When I used to rodeo, we kept one driving, one in pass. seat keeping driver awake, and one in the sleeper asleep because his turn at the wheel was next.

I don't mind them on a long bed, but on the shortbed I think they look a bit out of place. They are handy, lots a times I wished I had one. My roommate in college had one, slept in it at rodeos, worked pretty well for him. Personally I think the sleeper'd look alright, but the headache rack and toolbox behind it just don't fit. There's my thoughts, but like posted above, if you like it and it works for ya, that's all that matters.

Honestly,
I'm saying this because somebody has too.
It looks like you threw a jc whitney magazine at your truck. You got an 80's bumper guard, 2 cummins logos in a row, an 80's half camper, with a big orange light on it, some type of headache rack mounted in the middle of your bed, and then a toolbox on the back. The old school tubular steps, and wheels really do it an injustice.
I'm just saying! You have alot of potential because the truck looks to be in great condition, and I've always loved that color.
For starters I'd open up the tailgate, unbolt everything attached to the bed, back the truck up at 30 mph and hit the brakes. Get yourself a cheap set of chrome h2 wheels, dump those nerf bars and bumper, and then come back with a picture and see the applause.
