Re:Missing body plugs!!!!!
Question....it sounds like these holes are probably intended as drain holes (since they're on the bottom). Why would you want to plug a drain hole??

Which is right and which is wrong, I don’t know. If DC has a part number for these plugs then I would think that I should get them.
Here is the link of a thread from TDR’s website that talks about the same problem.

http://www.turbodieselregister.com/f...threadid=75338
Re:Missing body plugs!!!!!
There are supposed to be rubber plugs in those holes. Those holes are there from making the metal panels, not drain holes. What I heard is that they were out of stock at the plant and were not holding invertory for .05 plugs! So tape it WAS!

Re:Missing body plugs!!!!!
I bought a set of the Mopar tubular side steps for my truck, and when I installed them I had to pull out three of the plugs on both the driver and passenger sides of the truck. You pull them out and attach the brakets to the holes using a supplied "wall anchor" that comes with the steps. Can't say I'm all that impressed with them but that is one use for the holes

And to head off any questions, no, I won't ship the six plugs to any of you as I'm not that impressed with the side steps and may take 'em off and reinstall the plugs. The steps aren't anchored that well to the truck and have been crap from day one so may remove them.

Re:Missing body plugs!!!!!
Well hopefully its at least 100mph duct tape and not the 50 mph version.

Mine's got the plugs in it, so it was built before Siesta set in. I don't remember the date it was built but I bought it 25 OCT 02.

Don't know if I have them or not....and to be honest I really don't care. What's the big deal?? ???

Hoss,
You have had your truck for a while and it probably does have the plugs. They seem to be missing on the more recently built trucks. The holes are quite large. Once the tape falls off, which it eventually will, dirt and water will enter and promote premature rusting. I would insist on having the plugs at no charge from the selling dealer.

Hmmmm....interesting. Maybe I should crawl underneath and see if I've got them. I assume it's pretty easy to spot whether you've got them or not??

Re:Missing body plugs!!!!!
It is very easy to check. Just kneel down on one knee and look across the truck to the back side of the rocker panel. You don't even have to crawl under the truck. It might not be so easy if you are the same size or larger than Hoss Cartwright. ;D
