I have 700 miles on my 04 3500 QC 2WD SRW and I took it on a 200 mile trip-w-500 lbs in the rear and a full tank of fuel. I cannot believe the fuel mileage at 19.2! This was not not open road either. There were a lot of towns-w-35-45mph. I can't wait until it breaks in and I can go-w-synthetic and put my new Edge EZ box on it.
Also can anyone offer opinions on the extended warantee? I am against these in general but tell me what makes sense as I can still get it.

We have discussed the extended warranties quite a few times before. I think if you do a search you will find much on the subject.

I'm also thinking about the extended warranty. The local dealer here in Winston Salem will let me have Dodge's Max Care (Max Care is almost like bumper to bumper) 7/70 for $1k even. Since we already get the powertrain warranty the cost shouldnt be much for extended warranty. Best price I gotten so far and have email about 7 different dealers. Also are a couple of web sites where you can buy from.
