Mileage during 1100 mile trip
This last Labor day weekend I drove from Okc to Des Moines, IA. Left Friday at around 9, raised front tire pressure to 65, rears at 55. I was planning on cruising the entire trip at 65 but that was way too slow so I settled on 72 and got 18.9 with a 5-10mph headwind. On the trip back I set cruise on 70mph(avg speed of 68 due to construction), the tach needle just under the 2000 mark and drove the entire 530 miles without stopping and got an amazing 20.78 mpg! How many of you older guys can drive 8 hours without stopping, not even to use the bathroom? These 06 trucks can get great mileage if you know how to drive them.
Oh and I unistalled the triple dog, so the truck was completely stock.

congratulation on your bladder control , but you do have a problem with repeating your self at your age since you posted twice .
Mileage has a lot to do with the way we drive , I agree with you . I can do real good with mine on the highway , 20 plus , but around town it is still about 17 MPG .
