Re:Mileage

I checked today 2800 miles 25 mpg at 55-60 mph. Towing fully loaded about 16 mpg. Very good and not even broken in.

Re:Mileage

First tank showed 16.7 (by hand) and second showed 17.75 by hand. Trip comp showed 16.8 first tank and 17.7 second. Not too bad. It's up to 17.8 now and I'm only 1/4 done with my 3rd tank with just over 1100 miles on it. Most mileage is back and forth to work - ~20 miles on the highway at 70ish and ~2 on either end to work or home. So far, so good.

Re:Mileage

Just got back from a 200 mile round trip with my 9K TT. Very mountainous roads with 6% grades, lots of 35 MPH curves to slow down for. Got 12.6 per computer, haven't refilled yet. Had 6 people in the cab and about 600#s in the bed to boot. Truck just turned over 6k miles. I usually get 17ish in town and 18.5 on the highway empty a 70 MPH.

It looks like Vittorio wins the my truck gets better than your truck mileage award. ;D Mine currently shows 17.1 mpg on the comp. This is without resetting the comp. in 1100 miles. For more accurate readings you need to let more miles rack up before resetting the overhead computer.

Re:Mileage

I reset it again and drove empty around the city for a day. Averaged about 18.5 mpg (both Interstate 55 mph and stop and go city streets). Interstate only at 55 mph running close to 23-25 mpg. With the truck and 16K # Gooseneck fully loaded in mountain country I was only getting 12 mpg or so and on the flats about 16 mpg. I figure at 10K I might do better.

Re:Mileage

Did a 600 mile round trip last weekend to the deer lease with a 700lb ATV in the bed. Running 75mph with A/C on I averaged 20.1 mpg. Including a 15 mile trip with 1,500lbs of corn in the bed!

Re:Mileage

I'm guilty of flooring my truck EVERYWHERE and cruising at 80mph (6spd and 3.73s) and I get about 18.5-19.0. Have not put any real load on this truck to get towing figures.

Re:Mileage

Got my truck on Thursday & drove at 110Km (69 MPH) on cruise for an hour - computer showed 19.5 MPH - Everyone says the milage gets better the more miles on it so I can hardly wait! Dropped to 18 by the end of the first tank which included in town driving, and some 'playing' to see just what this truck would do. (yes I was and still am impressed)

Now, is the computer accurate?! I filled up for the first time today & since I'm not sure where the dealer had it filled to, I didn't try to manually calculate the milage - I'll do it from this fillup onward to see if that computer is accurate.

Re:Mileage

Last 1,000 miles I got 19.5 mpg on flat highway, 15 in town, and 12.5 towing my 18 foot boat through hilly terrain. With only 6,550 miles, I'm sure mileage will continue to improve as time goes by.

Re:Mileage

Just did a highway trip in the truck to Glacier Nat'l Park (steep grades at high altitude) empty: 19.9 going and 20.1 coming home. All at 75 mph. I just turned 2000 miles on the odometer. Have I said lately how much I love this truck? ;D

Re:Mileage

I've been trying to follow the directions in the manual & taking in to account stuff I've read here regarding engine break-in.

First 500 miles I drove it at varying speeds/rpm - driving it 'like I stole it', well not REALLY like I stole it, but you get the idea - HEY its brand new so I can't help but be a little careful! was averaging 16 in town, 18.5 highway.

After that 500 miles, I hooked up my boat (around 3500 lb's), set the cruise at 90KM/hr and put another 500 on it. Started out at 14 MPG towing, stayed there for the first 200 miles, then started to creap up. By the end of 500 miles up to 15.5 towing.

After 500 with the boat, took it back on the highway without the trailer & now I'm showing 21 on the highway!

well impressed with this truck & I've only had it for 5 days!

Re:Mileage

First Tank: 60% Highway @ 65-70mph, 40% City. 18.7mpg by computer, 18.6 by hand. Better than the old gasser, but tank number two WILL be better!

Re:Mileage

I went to Memphis, Tenn. this past weekend. I went east on I-30 out of Texas to Little Rock, Ark. then took I-40 to Memphis. I got 17.8 miles per gallon going. Thats running 75-80 mph. The only thing different in my sig is I have the Ram Air installed. I havent filled up yet to see about the trip home. Kyle

Re:Mileage

Wow! Just finished my 3rd tank. O'head showed 17.8 but by hand (well, calculator) showed 18.9!! And I spent a few minutes getting the last gallon or so in. I'm happy!
