MegaCab Dually to single rear wheel
Looking to convert my dually into a single rear wheel. I was wondering if anyone has done this and could give me some pointers or heads up to what i might not expect. From what i am told the rear fenders will unbolt leaving minor scuffs on bed side that can be covered with a flare? Can anyone confirm this.
Basically anything i should be aware of?
Thanks in advance

You would be better getting a SRW bed, there is more than a bolt on fender difference, look at the center of the underside of the wheel well, there is also a cutout area.
If you do the switch, I know a couple people who are looking for a MC dually bed.

I would expect the axles shafts themselves will be of different lengths.
The hubs are definitely different.
To make the truck look right and to have all the same type wheels, the front hubs will need changed also.
Probably it would be best to purchase a single wheel axle and swap it out.
Then sell the dually axle, probably for more than you'll pay for the single.

Ok. I've been looking a lot into these swaps. On the front you unbolt the factory spacer from the hub, then bolt on the SRW wheel. The best thing to do with the rear is to swap a SRW axle in. The fenders will unbolt but you will be left with soemthing like this
Best option would be finding a local with a short bed who wants a dually, trade beds, rear axles, give him your front spacers, and swap wheels and tires.
