Sold my 2003 RAM 2500 outright and fetched an excellent price for it; ordered the 2007.5 RAM 3500 just like I wanted it and have been happy since. I wanted to try the 68RFE and the 2003 RAM 2500 was equipped with the NV5600......don't miss rowing the boat at all. I do part*time contract hauling with a 2007 GatorMade 16+2 CarHauler, so the bed size is actually not of importance to me.

I liked it for the room also. Growing kids of 15-3 years. Cars seem too cramped with the car seat. Then on the other hand, the bigger the better. Short guys and Tall trucks.

Yep it holds a Keg real nice and the 3 dogs in the back as well. Don't have kids but it's heck of alot better on road trips with 4 adults. My buddies got quad cab and he's liking the idea of my big old cab.

I'd love to look into getting a MegaCab, course once I save up the cash for one. The room no doubt is awesome and though I don't have kids or a family, it will come in very handy for inside hauling and plenty of adult hauling in the back. That will probably be my dream truck in the future hopefully if they still continue to make the MC by then.
And since I enjoy long road trips I may even consider adding a toolbox/aux tank in the bed for extended trips. That will be awesome! Of course if I need to ever haul anything, a small trailer will be fine for my needs.

It's the only vehicle we have that can haul all the kids at the same time.
Had to have the manual because its much more fun to drive, keeps my siatic nerve from bothering me, and I dont have to have panic attacks watching a trans temp gauge spool up past 260* from just driving in the mountains in the summer.
People don't pull out in front of me any more.
And, It will still wheel...
