a couple of questions for you megacab guys. Is the a/c pretty weak on the megacabs? I am one of those guys that likes it real kool. I live in Dallas where 100plus days are normal in the summer. Also is the a/c strong enough to overcome the heat on darker model trucks like black and dark blue?
I am looking to obtain an 06/07 mega. I have a great 02 HO. I ran out of room with two growing boys. Any good places other than dealerships to find a good clean mega cab. Craigslist and autotrader have not been successful.
New to this forum. if this is considered highjacking a thread lemme know and I will delete it out!

A/C holds up pretty well, it does take a few to cool off on the hot summer days. Just make sure when you buy, if its an '06, that the blend door is working, they have a habit of breaking. I havn't had that problem on my '08 but did on my '06. Also, you will want to find one that has the rear air ducts, some models don't have rear air. And tinted windows help too! You will definitely be happy with the rear seat space with those boys!

I live in El Paso where it is even hotter than Dallas, just less humidity!! My 06 has the rear vents and tinted windows. It takes a few minuets to cool off but once it does it gets nice and cold. Sometimes the wife will have a jacket over her cuz it gets too cold.
