I saw an add last night that said 0% financing and $2750 rebate, I was half asleep but I thought they said California Dodge dealers. If you go to the Dodge or Edmunds site they usually have incentives listed by zip code.

Well if you have already ordered within the last 10 days do you get the new rebate or are you stuck with the old rebate in place when you purchased?

You actually get the best of the two.

There seems to be lots of confusion on this one. Who knows what's actually true, but here's what I was told by . . .

The Carsdirect contact person - "You can get the cash rebate that expires before delivery, but you cannot get the financing incentives (i.e. the $2000 + 0% for 48mo)."

The sales mgr from the dealership where I placed my order - "They (DC) won't honor prior rebates at all." When I pressed him on the sold order protection I had heard about, he waffled a bit and then pretty much restated what the Carsdirect guy told me.

Bottom line, I doubt either one knows for sure. My guess is that the financing deal might not be on the table because DC's cost for that is unpredictable based on then-current market rates.

One thing is for sure. You are at least entitled to the rebates in place at the time of delivery. I don't think anyone disputes that.

According to some dealer posts on this and other sites, Sold Order Protection *should* apply to the 0% + $2000. I am hoping this will apply to me; my truck will not be in for at least two weeks, so I am counting on this. Dealers would probably at least honor the incentive, since they could eat that cost.

Financing is different - they have no control over what Chrysler Financial rates are at the time.

Therefore....I have arranged my finances that IF there is no 0% that is applicable when I pick up my truck, I will still be able to qualify at whatever the prevailing offer is a the time.

One more thing - it's possible that this "0+xxxx" will stick around. We'll see next week. Any dealers want to chime in? Tomeygun??

My sales manager told me that, I get what ever incentive I choose. He said If the incentives go up, I will recieve the new amount, no matter when I ordered the vehicle. My order was placed 12/15, I should have my vehicle by 04/01.

DC doesn't post the rebates untill they are in affect. I guess this is to keep anybody from stalling their deal to receive a larger rebate. I have always been told, you receive the larger of; either the rebate that was offered when you ordered or when you took delivery.
