Manual xfer case lever to switch conversion..possible?
I've come to regret not getting the automatic transfer case due to the stupid floor console that won't hold a drink properly. What would be involved in converting from manual to auto? Thanks

Sorry can't help with an actual conversion. Check this at Geno's, http://www.genosgarage.com/prodinfo....UP-SMOOTHIE-03

Is it possible? Yes, by switching to the electrically or vacuum operated "push button" transfer cases, but: WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO? You'd trade a simple, tried and true method of switching your truck into 4WD for a crappy, more complex, "more stuff to go wrong" way of going into 4WD? No thanks. I'll take my shifter, and I know when it's in, and when it's out. Automatic systems will inevitably leave you stranded when you need 'em.
Keep what 'cha got, buy a drink holder.

My coffee mig fits in the big hole and soft drinks fit in the smaller ones with no problem for me. I much prefer the manual shifter in my new truck to the automatic one that was in my 06

Advocate of getting the ban button used on him...

For me, it was a wash either way. All I wanted was a 6 speed and didn't care if it had the t-case lever or switch.

I'm not thrilled with my switch (****) 4x4 either. I'm in and out of 4x4 a lot around the farm. I've had the truck for quite awhile and still get a little confused on how to get it into 4x4 when I need it now. I've turned up my fan in a panic, sucks.
