LP/FP noise

I took my truck to the dealer yesterday to have the idle up feature turned on, the A/C looked at, (imagine that,) and some other stuff. Before I took it, when I turned the key on and waited for my WTS light to go off, the fuel pump would stop humming about the same time the light went off, maybe a little longer, but it would stop. Now, it does not stop, and I notice it when the truck is running too. I hear a lot about LP/FP's going out, could this be an early sign, or am I just paraniod? Or ?

TIA!!!

FP gauge should tell the tale. Have you seen a drop in FP lately?? That usually indicates that the lp is going south.

I posted this same thing about a month or 2 ago and got no responses. I got the Cruise Control update and with 4-5 hours of dropping it off it went from the LP turning off with wts light to just staying on for about 20-25 seconds. It has done this from the minute I picked the truck up and honestly hasn't harmed anything. So, I went back to the dealer after 2 weeks and I went and spoke to the tech personally and asked him why. He said sometimes DC adds stuff in the hardware not needed so possibly it is causing this. I told him all I got was a new water pump and CC update, he said he understands but if the pump is running that long it surely ain't going out. So lets all keep our fingers crossed. Oh yea honestly I have put 15k miles almost in the last 2-3 months and haven't had a problem one and still averaging 16 in town. Take it easy. Aaron

Thanks for the input, Aaron. Red, I'm still waiting for my gauges from diesel mannor, (1/2 my fault, 1/2 theirs), but I am not getting any of the tattle tale signs low fuel pressure. It just hit my oh poop meter when something different happens. (like I'm the shade tree mechanic or anything!!!)

P.s.... Smoked one of my buddies ricer today, so I seem to be getting fuel fine. He claims that it was his boost relief valve...
