Low Tire Pressure Light on dash....

that was before the firestone, ford explorer fiasco a couple of years ago. that's why the gov't mandated tpm systems in all passenger vehicles by '08.

My neighbor works for a TPMS manufacturer...he is testing new monitors on vechicles all the time. Here is what I know. You can set the range on the system for different tire pressures. You could have a faulty sensor if you continue to get bogus warnings...something as simple as the snesor is not fully tightened to the back of the valve stem or just plain defective. You can also just remove the sensors all together. Hope this helps.

After cutting my seatbelt wires and twisting them all together, this TPMS light on the dash is the only one left that bothers me(since I have H2 wheels and tires). My solution to this light is to pull all the sensors from my stock wheels, throw them in a small steel pipe, fit one of the sensor/valve stems in the steel pipe, air the pipe up to 65 psi, and throw it in the bottom of my toolbox! Any comments on this idea?

After a long weekend of workin, that made me laugh.... I like the idea, let me know if it works, I might be down for a pipe bomb looking thing in my wife's grand. She would get some good looks going onto base for work, if they were to see it.
