I'm looking at a 06' with 180k on the clock. Southern truck crew cab long bed. Any input...I loved my 04.5...is the 06 as good a truck? Thanks Eric

Dang it, man, that stinks! Sorry to hear.
I think the only issues with the 06s were the instrument clusters... it could be the 05s, tho... I can' remember. Other than that, just the usual dodge crap, ball joints, blend/recirc doors, pinched wires in the back door...

Yeah, it was the '06 model Year that had instrument cluster foul-ups. Other than that they're just as good as the previous years.

Thanks guys...I had a friend and Diesel Dodge owner stop by and check it out. he said it was very clean...NC truck...but he noticed a shudder at take off and the trans seemed to slip a bit from 2nd-3rd when warm. Other than that it is going to need tires and the AC charged. They are asking 19k for the truck and I asked about a basic powertrain warranty although I am not a fan of aftermarket warranties I figure if the price is right I may get one.
