and no, it's not a functional scoop. It's just for looks on our trucks. There is plumbing for it but will only work on a SRT.

Try this guy out. His name is duan. He has got allmost anything that you want for our trucks. If you want a one off piece of billet for your grill talk to him about it.

My son put the SRT hood on his Hemi......got the inserts on the auction site everybody uses............worked well.....sure kept the water from blowing in all over the place

This topic is about the grill insert for the opening in the scoop not the whole hood. The stock SRT-10 grill is just cheap black plastic.

Any ideas on where to find something close to match what the stock Ram Laramie grill looks like? And has anyone tried having the stock plastic piece chrome plated? I would like to get rid of that black plastic piece myself and can not really see spending $150 or so on just the grill.

as I mentioned in my post... because of the lack of cool inserts being available, I ended up having a few custom made. I just wanted to mention it as an option for someone looking. It's not cheap to do though which an be a deterrent.

Does Dodge sells the original insert separately?

I just went with a factory hood from the dealer when I ordered the truck. It cost me 1000 dollars painted to match at the factory. Check out my profile

Yes they do, I checked into getting one to use as a templete for my own custom insert.
