Lights behind A/C controls out
I guess some of the lights behind my A/C controls burned out & I can't figure out how to get to them. Can anyone tell me how to get the cover off of the A/C controls, please!

A/C lights
Take the plastic trim piece out that goes around the the stereo and controls. Once you have that out there is 4 small screws that hold the control unit in the dash. Just remove those and the plugs from the back and you will see the 3 small lights on the back. Just 1/4 turn and they will come out. Around here they are a dealer only item and are around $5.00/ea.

The center console is held in with 6 screws. There is a rubber piece that lifts out. Then, take and pry the boot off around the shifter for the transfer case and transmission, if manual. Remove the screws that hold the console in and pull it out of the way.

Now there are two or three more screws to take out to get the rest of the center console. It takes a little to pry the 2nd piece out, but once it is, you can get to the last two screws.

MMMmmmm.... Grits!!
Do yourself a BIG favor and leave those two screws out. They don't serve any support function as there are lots of the spring retainers to hold it in. They just make you take out the whole console to have a look at the upper half.
