Leveling kit bump steer
I recently installed a 2" leveling kit in my '03 3500 and now I have noticably more bump steer. Whats the best way to get rid of it? Does it have to do with the track bar being to short now? Would a drop pitman arm help me any? I like the extra height but if I can't take care of the bump steer the leveling kit is coming out. Thanks in advance.

A dropped pitman arm alone won't help. In fact without equally dropping the track bar mount and keeping them parallel, it will make things worse. Did you get the truck aligned after the leveling kit was installed? You say your bump steer is worse which to me implies that you had some before. Thats not right so maybe you have some worn parts that are rearing their ugly head now that the angles are increased. Check track bar bushings, tie rod ends, ball joints.

The truck got an alignment right away. The truck had no bumpsteer before. What do you mean by 09 steering? The steering dampner is original. There are alot of new parts on the front end. New ball joints, sway bar end links, and a tie rod end. Everything else is tight.

There is no G. There is no G. Repeat after me, THERE IS NO G!
I'm on the road (cell phone) so my replies are abbreviated. Search "upgraded steering" or "09 steering" for explanation. Essentially the 09 steering is a different (stronger) linkage design than what came on the -08 trucks.
