Leaking sunroof

I have a 07 3500 with a sun roof.. after a long rain water will drip from an area around the top of the a post.. It had aftermarket cab lights so i replaced them with stock units that i know had good gaskets.. The leak is still there so now I think it might be the sun roof.. Can anyone tell me if this is a common problem and what the fix may be.. thanks

I would run a thin clear silicone around the third brake light. 9 times out of 10 it's that leaking. A smooth clear bead and nobody will ever notice it and it's an awful cheap thing to try. If that's it, you saved a ton of $$$ vs. new seals for a sunroof.

I have the exact same problem and am looking for a fix. I know for a fact it is the sun roof, every time I close it I have to push up on the rear of it to get the air leaking sound to go away. Go through the car was and you get a bath with all the water coming in around it, if I hold up hard on the back it stops most of it.

Took it to the dealer twice and they said they ajusted it and I think it got worse.

i forgot that I have a 2005 service manual. Was reading up on the sun roof and the first thing it say is that thei are drain tubes on the sun roof, one in each corner. Supose to blow them out and make sure not pluged.

Then you can adust the height of the sun roof front and back to get it to seal proper. Front is suppose to be 0-.08 under the roof and back is suppose to be 0-.08 above the roof. Well I know that this is where my problem is because the rear is a good .125 under the roof. I am going to ajust it myself this time around so I know it is right......
