leak at back of valve cover
I recently posted a tread "looking at buy a 2003 2500". Thanks a million for all the feedback. The truck is a HO with the 48RE tranny 160000km. I had a more thorough look at it today and noticed some oily residue around the back of the motor under the valve cover gasket as well as a bit around the injectors. My 93 leaves an oil slick behind it but I seldom have to top it up and it runs great. Should I be concerned with this on a 2003 truck? or is it fairly common. cheers jw

I had a slight leak on my truck around the valve cover, took it in and they would not warranty it, so I pulled the plastic cover off and torqued the bolts a little more. Seems to have helped...
