I've had a few sets on different trucks without complaint. Mine still look new after 2 years, no leaks. My buddy in Massachusetts runs them on his Tundra that is commonly driven on the beach and in winter snow with no issues. I'm wondering if adding the lacquer helped or hurt.

I'll sell mine as new shocks on there way. My truck don't need any more stiffness then what it has with out bilstiens

I had the Bilstiens (blue yellow) and just installed KYB Monomax. My observations - If you carry a heavy load often then KYB monomax is a good choice. If you ride empty often then Bilstien. KYB is a lot stiffer when running unloaded. I do have super springs in the rear which doesn't help unloaded ride either but had it on with both Bilstien and KYB..
